Christmas Decor DIY, quick and easy

Updated: Dec 18, 2018

Want a quick and easy Christmas DIY that will make your whole holiday decor look amazing? Try this one out and see the holiday cheer multiply!!

every year i try to convince my hubby that i need more Christmas decor, but he usually declines. this year my vision was more neutral colors with a couple pops of red and green and as many Christmas trees i could find a place for lol!

i already had a couple mini trees and then grabbed a few from targets dollar bin. i love the fresh snow fallen look but all the trees i found looked more like dunked in white and where almost double the price!

I decided i would make my own, you know that old saying if you want something done right then do it yourself? well, i def had my own vision of what it should look like but just couldn't seem to find them.

Step by step to get the snow fallen look on my mini trees

1. wrapped the bases with plastic grocery bags just to make sure the burlap bases kept their look

2. propped them on an old piece of plywood i found in my hubbys garage and placed it out on the grass in the backyard.

(the white snow will not be permanent on your grass if some does end up there, but in case you dont want to wait till the next lawn cutting then make sure your plywood is large enough to cover any space that may get snowed)

3. make sure all the branches look the way you want them before spraying, that way its not more of a mess if you try to do it later

4. take the spray adhesive first, shake it up well, then spray it will all over the trees branches. I mainly sprayed the top ends of the branches to get the fresh snow fall look i wanted.

5. immediately after spraying the adhesive you will take the snow spray, shake well also, and then start to spray. Tip: the closer you are to the branch the whiter and thicker the snow will look. I did a sweeping motion while holding down the sprayer about 1.5 ft away from it.

i like to the look of both the green branches and the snow fallen on top.

6. i went back over and added a little more white snow to the tips of the branches especially at the top.

7. once your done, move them all together somewhere they can dry, i had a small fan i placed in front of them and turned on high just to get it done a little quicker. If its windy outside then you can just leave them there for a couple hrs.

8. the spray snow is not meant to be permanent so when you pick them up you will see a little white come off but know that it is all washable and with the adhesive spray you will have 80% less excess that comes off from touching or brushing up against.

wah-la your done!!!

now all you have to do is place them all over the house, and try not to go out and buy more mini trees to add Ha!

P.S. I also used this technique on my small wreaths and garland

Merry Christmas

xoxo
